The beach Es Cavallet Ibiza is located in a paradisiacal enclave of the island, a very interesting natural space for the salt mines, pine forests, junipers, dunes and other vegetation that surrounds it. Quite a popular place in summer for boat rentals in Ibiza.
It belongs to the Ses Salines Natural Park and is a Special Bird Protection Area of the European Union.
Where is Es Cavallet Ibiza?
Es Cavallet Ibiza beach is south of Cala Sal Rossa and is almost one kilometer long. It extends to Punta Portas, where you will also find an old defensive tower. Normally, moderate winds from the east rise, it is the only annoyance in case of wanting to anchor in the area. Near the beach there are rocks that we must take into account when disembarking with the auxiliary boat or zodiac. To the north of the beach you will see a small pier that was formerly used to transport salt.
Keep in mind that the submarine cables that link Ibiza with Formentera are located south of the beach. This is one of the reasons why in the southern part of this beach you can not anchor or fish.
