Portitxol Ibiza

Portitxol is an exquisite delight that this magnificent island in the Mediterranean offers us. This natural harbour on the north coast is guarded by the cliffs of Cap des Rubió, 300 metres high, and Punta de Sa Galera. Its shoreline, consisting of pebbles and gravel, is closed and sheltered from the wind.

This beautiful cove can only be reached on foot or by sea, aboard one of our boat hire in Ibiza, making it even more unique and adventurous.

Torrents are natural streams of water that form between areas of cliffs and mountains. They have steep slopes, irregular flows and a great deal of erosion capacity. In Ibiza, most of the coves were formed by the large amount of water that formerly ran through these areas until reaching the sea. Cala Portitxol was also formed by the natural outlet of a torrent, that of Sa Marina d’en Besora.

Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta (39º006N-001º177E) are exceptionally close to the port of San Antonio. Orientated towards the west, these beaches will allow you to experience sunsets you thought could only be found photoshopped for postcards. Located between cliffs and surrounded by forests and native plants, such as rosemary and rockrose, Cala Salada is considered one of the five best beaches in Ibiza. It is one of the most visited coves appreciated by those who opt for a boat rental in Ibiza.

The shore of Cala Salada measures a length of approximately 90 metres with a width of about 10 metres. Forming part of the same coast and sharing this body of water, Cala Salada is followed by its neighboring cove Cala Saladeta, which is noticeably smaller than its counterpart.

Although the floor of Cala Salada contains oceanic Posidonia, there are patches of sand that make this cove suitable for anchoring. Offering depths of between four and five metres, on days when the wind is blowing from the north, this beach is the perfect haven for a yacht charter in Ibiza to take shelter.  Due to the massive crowds that visit daily, roads are often blocked making it extremely difficult to access this gem without the use of public transportation. It is no wonder why many choose to enjoy this beach on board a catamaran hire in Ibiza.

Cala Benirras Ibiza

The gorgeous beach of Cala Benirras is another one of the many gifts that the northern coast offers our catamanan rental in Ibiza. Located between the tips of the cave S’Orenga and Blanca, this deep bay penetrates to the mainland with a slope of minimal incline. Its beach, measuring 160 metres long and 40 metres wide, is petite in size but colossal in beauty.

Due to its extreme protection from the wind, Cala Benirras is a popular anchorage amongst all Ibiza yacht charter and our clients who want to relaxingly admire the spectacular sunsets. On weekends, especially during the summer months, these breathtaking views are accompanied by the echoes of the drums played by the passionate hippies of the island and its appreciative crowd. The International Day of Peace is an event that is celebrated long into the night on this incredible beach.

Although Cala Benirras is located on the north part of the island of Ibiza, it actually faces west. For this simple reason, it is the only beach on the northern coast from which we can experience astonishing sunsets, which of course are that much more enjoyable if we watch it on board our boat hire in Ibiza.

Cala Tarida in Ibiza

Cala Tarida is one of the most remarkable beaches of the islands, to which we often visit with our boat hire in Ibiza and Formentera.

Our exhilarating boat rental in Ibiza either begins in San Antonio (or from the South of Ibiza island depending on the water conditions). Sailing past Cala Bassa and Cala Conta, we will continue between Isla del Bosque and Isla Conejera, where we will head south until we arrive at Cala Tarida– located on the west side of the stunning island of Ibiza. Attracting a vast amount of tourism during the summer months in Ibiza, we must all work together to conserve this extensive beach that shares its immense beauty with us year round.

Providing easy accessibility with possible parking on the beach, Cala Tarida is a good option for families with children or those with mobility difficulties.  Still, you cannot deny that there is no better way to discover the coves, avoiding the summer crowds, than from the sea. Gathering with friends and jumping on board a yacht charter in Ibiza will lead you to explore the unimaginable. It will open doors to experiences that cannot be lived by land.

The Best Clubs In Ibiza

Ushuaia Ibiza

Back in 2011, Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club took Playa D´en Bossa by storm. Not many would have guessed that their success would lead to a trend around Ibiza, others have tried to emulate the upscale hotel with international superstars DJ´ing wild parties around the pool, but not many got it right. One thing is for sure, Ushuaïa has become a global brand.
